I've experienced one roof failure in 30 months of ownership and luckily it was a lovely sunny day. But imagine if you're driving roof down and suddenly it pours and the roof fails!!!!!!!!!!!![]()

I had exactly the same problem a couple of weeks ago with my 1.8 design 09reg. I've often had a problem with one of them sticking particularly when I use the key to activate the roof. Anyway two weeks ago, mine did exactly the same and I drove under the cover of darkness at 7.20am to the local Vauxhall dealership with the roof in the boot, the boot open and the 'plastic parcel shelf' from where the flaps come out stuck in the air like an aerofoil. Had to have two new motors fitted under warranty. All fine now, infact I suspect there always was a problem with it as now it works fine with the key!
